Shirokiya and Tenkaippin
Woke up at a decent hour this past Saturday for a change. Went off to spend the morning and early afternoon at a work function.
After that we were off to Ala Moana Shopping Center and a late afternoon snack at Shirokiya.
I had the Yakitori Chicken Bento and he had this selection of musubis and karaage chicken.
To burn off some calories we went window shopping for a while then found a nice spot to rest with this view.
After that we were off to eat…again – dinner at Tenkaippin on Kapahulu Ave.
We’ve seen this in commercials so he wanted to try it, the Kotteri Ramen (thick chicken based broth)
I had the Assari Ramen (shoyu ramen)
We also shared an order of fried chicken and gyoza to round out the meal.
It’s a pretty good weekend when your biggest worry is…where to eat next?

Okay, so my patele with rice (for lunch in a few minutes) pales in comparison to your eats this past Saturday. I don’t know which is my favorite, but that fried chicken is lookin’ good (and reminds me of the bento lunches that I miss so much). Hmmm…maybe chicken katsu will be up for this week.
All that food looks so delicious! I would so much enjoy eating all of it. (on my own too lol)

I really like all those little tsukemono and tsukudani tid bits that come with the bento. I’m the one looking through all the bentos trying to find the one with my favorites.
