Guava Pancakes

Guava Pancakes

These guava pancakes don’t use any milk. It isn’t that I was trying to come up with a recipe without it, it’s just that we had run out of milk and I’m never in the mood to go to the store before breakfast.

So with an absence of milk, I looked around the fridge for something to replace it and found one last container of guava flavored Yoplait yogurt.

Guava Pancake Mix

INGREDIENTS (Makes about 6 pancakes)
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tsp baking powder
2 eggs
6 oz cup of guava yogurt
1/4 cup water

Guava Pancakes

I really liked these pancakes. The guava flavor came through much more than in the guava muffins I made a while back with the Meadow Gold brand guava yogurt.

If you have guava flavored Yoplait yogurt in your area and enjoy food made with whole wheat, consider giving these a try!

Awww Lori, this just looks like it would hit the spot right now, and it’s 4:30 in the afternoon! I haven’t been feeling like cooking something for myself today…calve muscles too sore from hiking.

This is when I am glad that we don’t keep junk food in the house — it would be all gone by now!

Hey kat,
Sorry you don’t have Yoplait there. But thanks, they were really good for whole wheat type pancakes!

Hey rowena,
Mmm, guava pancakes for an afternoon snack – sounds like a great idea! I hope your legs feel better soon. ;)

I always replace part of the milk in my panckaes with strawberry-banana yogurt. It makes them taste so much better. I love the flavor combo on this one too!

Hi noble pig,
Strawberry banana also sounds like it would make good pancakes!

Hi lauren,
I hope you can find it. They list it on their webpage, so I hope it’s available nationwide!

Hi! Everyone, if you can’t find Guava yogurt you can mix a tablespoon of Guava preserve in plain yogurt and add to the Guava pancake recipe.

Lori I am happy that I found your site.
