Hamura Saimin, Kauai

Finally unloading some photos off my camera! The next several posts will be from a previous trip to Kauai. We weren’t there for too long, but had a fun time eating our way around the island. First stop after landing was lunch at Hamura’s.

Started off with the special saimin and a tasty bbq beef stick…

Then we finished it off sharing a slice of lilikoi chiffon pie, mmmm.

Looks delicious! Been meaning to get out there to try it.
Hi jenny!
Thanks for stopping by, I think it may be time for a little weekend getaway to Kauai!
Honestly Lori, your photos make me wish that October was already here. On a tech note…what IS your camera?!!! I love how the colors show up on my screen.
Hey Rowena,
For this Kauai trip I just brought my small Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W80. My better camera is a Canon XSi, those pics are mostly on my japandish.com site. I’m glad you like the pictures here, this Sony camera must be at least 4 or 5 years old by now, I was considering getting a new one. I brought it on this trip because it’s small enough to stick in my shorts pocket while fishing, and old and buss up enough that I don’t care if some bait gets on it!
Just found your website! Love it! Going to try your tiramisu dessert tomorrow.
